Haircuts and a Highchair

Today I had to go and get my official mom cut. I was growing it out, but Eve decided that her new favorite thing to do was grab it. I also had to get some of her hair cut. She was starting to have a mullet because it was so long in the back, so she got that trimmed and some of her bangs. The other day we decided to buy Eve a highchair so she could join us at the table. It is one of the space saver ones which is seeming to work well. She did not like it at first, but today she really warmed up to it. Here are some pics in the highchair with its five point harness. When she's bigger she can eat in it or drive a stockcar.

Birthdays and Baby

This past Saturday was a great and eventful day. First it was Tyler's 27th birthday and we spent it in Manhattan. Manhattan Kansas that is, the little apple and the place where Kansas State University, Tyler's Alma Mater is. We were going to the football game and expected a nice day. Well, it ended up being a cold 50 degrees out. Even with the cold, Eve was quite a trooper. She seemed to be the warmest of the bunch all wrapped up. She even got her picture taken with Willie the Wildcat. K-State won a blowout and it was a fun day.

When we came home the next day we had a wonderful message that out good friends, Laurie and Matt Beardsley (who came to visit and we posted pics of earlier) had had their baby boy. His name is Josiah Thomas and her weighed 8 pounds and was 20 in long. We haven't been able to really talk yet so we will post more details later. Everyone is doing well though. What an exciting time.

3 Months Old

Eve has now turned 3 months old. How time flies. She can now grab her hands and anything within arms reach, especially mom's hair. She is a champion druler specializing in blowing bubbles and putting whatever around in her mouth if she can get it there. She is giggling all the time especially when she flies around above us. We went today to take a meal to a friend with a newborn and its incredible to see how much bigger she is. She is just growing and blossoming each day.

Happy Birthday Kate!

Today is my sister Kate's 21st birthday! Every time that I write about how old my siblings are getting I almost can't believe it. She was spending it hanging with friends and going to the Phillies game. I can't wait to celebrate with her when we go to PA at the beginning of Oct.

EAGLES

Today was an exciting day for me and Eve, our first Eagles game together. Gregg had gotten her an Eagles outfit so we could be full of team spirit. I have waited to further spread my passion for the Eagles with her. She was excited when I got excited over a play but a little scared at my yelling at the tv. Too bad we did not have a good start and I always amso upset when they lose. Its only one game and I know we can turn it around.

Smiles and Shingles

The past few days have had ups and downs. Eve has really started to enjoy playing outside, well in the shade. I put her on a blanket and she kicks around and talks to the bugs. She has also started to sing. I will sing her anything and she will try to belt out a few notes. It has been so fun. What has not been fun is that yesturday I was diagnosed with shingles and not I am not an elderly woman. I didn't know that at 26 I should be worried about it, especially now. It was pretty devistating at the time, but I know it will eventually pass. I don't feel bad yet but I know that it will happen in the next few days, so enjoy these pics in the meantime.

Out to the farm

On Gregg and Tiffs last day here, we gave them a tour around Ness City and the farm. We had a good time doing every thing with them and wish they could have stayed longer. They were able to hear Eve giggling more and more especially at them. I can tell she really loved having them around, as we do too. Here's some more pictures.
