Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my wonderful Dad, Mario's birthday. It is so hard to be far away for times like these, especially since we got to celebrate this with him last year. We were blessed with his visit last month and can't wait till we get to see him again. Here is a special picture me and Eve took fo him. Happy birthday Dad, we love you lots!

Hello Becky, Tyler, and Dear Little Eve,

Thank you so much for that Birthday hello. It is very much appreciated. Mom and I are visiting this blog often and it is amazing how Eve is growing in so many ways.

Well today was somewhat sad since we went to the funeral of Tiffany's Grandfather, Frank Wilwert. It was nice, however, to see so many friends of mine that were there especially those whom I got to know better on our mission trip to North Spirit Lake, Ontario.

Well, our plans for tonight are to visit Caruso's Restaurant in beautiful downtown Souderton and then just have a quiet night at home (perhaps mom and I will go for a walk around the homes in the new development up the street).

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes. Keep Cool.,

Love you all,
Dad or should I say Pop-Pop

Hello all Y-all (I am told that is plural),

So Becky, continue on from yesterday;

Well we (Me, Mom, Kate, Nat, Gregg, and Tiff) went to Caruso's for Dinner. Friday night is fun at Caruso's because they have an Electric Accordion Player/singer there. An electric Accordion is like an portable electric organ; he has lots of different sounds. Anyway, the food was good and the music too was good.

I was wearing my "this is what a cool grandpa looks like" shirt that Eve gave me. Several people came up to me and commented on the shirt. They loved the shirt! Some also said I looked to young to be a grand father.

Toward the end of the meal the accordion play starts playing "The Chicken Dance". OK, how do you do the chicken dance in a restaurant? Well you sit right where you are and do the hand motions. When we get to the melody you hold hands and sway back and forth. As we were doing this our waiter, Sergio, jumps in and gets into this. OK, we are all going nuts by this point. Ya da da da da da da. Ya da da da da da da. Ya da da da da da da. clap, clap, clap, clap. (and keep on going).

Well Gregg can't let well enough alone so he goes to the accordion playing maestro and tells him it is my birthday. So, we end the night with everybody at the restaurant singing "happy birthday to you".

It was indeed a fun birthday.

Howdy all,

Eve is growing so fast. It is amazing how much she has changed in such a short period of time. Becky, your mom and dad look so happy. They also still look way too young to be grandmom and grandpop. I hope that you are feeling better each day and that you've been able to get some sleep.
