First Ponytail

Last week, I finally took the plunge and tried putting Eve's hair in a ponytail. She doesn't really like me brushing my hair and most of her hairstyles I do with just my fingers after the initail brushing. But she did manage to sit long enough for me to do a little brushing and pulling back. I know its a little thing, but she just looked so grown up and you could just see her.

Fun at the Dog Show

Last weekend, me and Eve took Saturday and decided to drive to a nearby dog show we had heard about on the radio. It was free to get in and I just knew she would love to see all the many different kinds of dogs. It was well worth and hour and a half drive to see the excitement on her face and her petting all the different dogs, although some were all ready to be showed and we couldn't touch those. We also found out that the big breeds of dogs were much nicer and friendlier that the little ones. It was a fun time and I know we will be going back next year.

Here she is with a Bernese Moutain Dog, just like our friends the Bearsleys are getting soon.

Gregg and Tiff's Wedding

So back on Feb. 28th, we went home to PA to see my best (and only) brother Gregg and his beloved Tiff get married. It was a busy and hectic time, but the wedding was such a blessed affair and a great time. Here are some pictures.
Me, Tiff, Kate and NatalieKate, Eve, and Avo (our grandmother)
Eve's turn down the aisle. She fell about 3 feet into it,
but got right up and kept going. She did great.
Their First Kiss, ever and as man and wife.Proud parents of the groom.
My Grammy always loves to bust a move, even in her wheelchair.

The very happy couple at the end of the night!

Happy Birthday Mom aka Grammy Debbie

So today is my mom's birthday, so Happy Birthday Mom, aka Grammy Debbie to Eve. Eve got a pretend cake for Christmas and Tyler and Eve thought it would be a great idea to make it today for her. So here are some pictures of your cake, Mom. Included is a video of us trying to get Eve to help wish you a happy birthday. She always get shy around the camera, although most of the time she just gets obsessed with trying to watch herself back after we take a video. Thats what she is trying to get at the end. Again, Happy Birthday Mom.

PS. I will retry to upload the video tomorrow.

Our Trip to California

So last week we got a great opprotunity to go to California for a Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference in Sacramento. The conference was really great and we learned a lot. But before the conference we took a little detour to Oakland to visit our friends, the Beardsleys. Me and Laurie met at JMU and have been great friends ever since. It was fun to finally meet her little guy Joey, who isn't that little anymore. Eve and Joey had a fun time together, as we all did. They took us to San Francisco touring and we got great pictures at the golden gate bridge. We also ate chinese food in China town as well as saw Pier 39. It was such a good time to get to see them again.

After a bath in matching pjs. Thanks Laurie

Bubble Bath

We are very blessed parents to have a very well behaved little girl. Mind you she like all children have their moments, but she is a very good listener and tries hard to do what we ask. So the other day after we went to a basketball game and she was so well behaved, I wanted to do something special for her. So as a treat for her, we gave her her first bubble bath. At first she was very skeptical about the bubbles, but thats really her personality. She is reserved about trying new things, but slowly warms up. She ended up not wanting to leave the bath when it was all done. She was so funny though and may need a lesson in modesty. She was fasinated with covering her "boobies" with bubbles. We try to discourage her from saying that and call it her chest, but to little avail. We got a good laught out of it and she had fun.
And you can probably see how Eve is still a skinny minnie. We took her in for her 18th month, although she was actually over 19 months and she is barely over 19 lbs, 19lbs, 3 oz to be exact. We laught that she is in the like neg. 20th percentile. But as long as she is eating and gaining a little the dr isn't worried.
