Harvest Time

Its Harvest Time here in Kansas and the wheat is doing really well. The Lord is blessing us with a great crop and we are very thankful. While my mother and sister Natalie were here, we went out and took Eve to the field to ride in the tractor with Tyler. She had a great time and we took some pictures of her there. Enjoy.

Bath Time Fun

Here is a short video I took while Eve was in the bath yesturday. You can see how she goes back and forth and is trying to swim in the tub. It just cracks me up. And yes the video is PG for baby nudity.

Father's Day - Then and Now

So it was Tyler's 2nd Father's Day and I thought it would be fun to show a picture from last year and one from Sunday. How things have changed. Happy Father's Day Tyler and to our Dads.

One Year Old

Well Eve is now officially one year old and I can not believe how fast this first year has gone. She just continues to blossom right in front of our eyes. She is talking up a storm and repeats lots of words that we say to her. This morning she said "waffle", mainly because its her favorite breakfast. One of my favorite things she says is monkey sounds. We ask her what a monkey says and she opens her mouth really big and says "oohh oohh" type sounds. I love it. She is not yet walking, but loves to be walked around and we are hoping in the next few weeks to see those coveted first steps. She is an extreme water lover and I can't wait until we start swimming lessons in 2 weeks. We have been going to the pool a couple times a week and Eve loves splashing around and doesn't mind going under. We end up spending over an hour in the pool because any less and she throws a fit. And one of the new things she is doing is loving on her things and people more. She loves to give hugs and open mouth kisses. She spends a good amount of time loving on her favorite pink monkey. Someone asked if she was chewing on it,but she really was just giving it a nice long kiss. I am working on teaching her to close her mouth. Here are some recent pics and some from yesturday. Warning picture overload.

Enjoying her cake!

I was tagged!

I am so sorry that it has been soooo busy here that I have not updated in a while. And in that while I was tagged three times by Bridget, Breanna, and Nicole. Sorry it took so long for me to get to this.

So here are the rules as to what I had to do and if you are one of my lucky seven mentioned below then you need to do the following, too:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog .

Here are my seven
1. If you know me well, you would quickly come to learn that I am one of the biggest Philadelphia Eagles fan out there. I think I bleed green. I also love the Phillies.
2. I have a public communication degree with a history minor and before my plans invloved moving to Kansas, I dreamed of being a speech writer or a lobbyest.
3. I recently decided to start my own home based business with Arbonne International. I lvoe the products and am love doing the business.
4. I am crazy in love with Legally Blonde, the musical. I saw in on MTV in the fall and loved it. I have the CD and would love to see in on Broadway.
5. Once in college I agree to get my hair cut in front at a hairshow by only a razor in order to get a free haircut. It actually was a pretty good cut.
6. My husband introduced me to the exciting world of Nascar and I actually like it. He hates that I cheer for Jeff Gordon, but when I started he was the only guy I knew of because one of my HS friends told us he was cute.
7. I have three major loves of my life. My God, My husband, and My family.

Here are the people I am tagging.
1. My sister Kate
2. My sister Natalie who is coming to visit next week!
3. My dearest friend Laurie
4. A JMU friend Christianne
5. A dear friend in a far off county, Laura
6. A Man's perspective, Chris

A Girl and her Wagon

As I am writing this, poor little Eve is off napping because she is pretty sick right now. She got some GI infection and it is giving her diaper issues, if you know what I mean. Please pray she gets better soon because she does not have the weight to lose. She was only 16lbs 4 oz today at the dr and she is already 11 months old, so she is quite the lightweight. She is on some medication, and the brat diet, but she is not eating very much. Hopefully the sleeping will help and she will slowly get better.

So I am going to post some happier times earlier in the week. Tyler refurbished his old wagon for Eve and we gave it to her for Christmas. Until this week, she has not really been big enough to sit and hold on and let me feel like she was safe enough for it. Now that she it, we take her for rides and she loves it. She throws a fit everytime we take her out. I even read the newspaper the other day and just let her sit in it because she was just enjoying it. Her are some of her in the wagon and some with her little friend Sabryn who was been spending time with us while her regualr babysitter is sick.

My First Mother's Day

It was so strange to get up on Mother's Day and feel included in a very special group. Last year although I was 8 months pregnant, Tyler made it very clear that I was on the verge of joining this group, but not yet there. This year I greeted the day at 9am which is very late for me these days and a very pleasant surprise. I think the big surprise of that was his ability to hold her off not nursing for that long. Then she went down for her morning nap and Tyler had laid out my usual cereal and spoon for me. A small but appreciated gesture. And Tyler and Eve got me a very nice card and the promise of a new bathing suit, which I am grateful I am allowed to pick out for myself. Then after church we went to lunch with Tyler's parents and grandparents. And we spent most of the day relaxing and cleaning around the house. And I got to spend some time talking to my wonderful mother. It was a nice first day and now I have my expectations up for next year. Maybe the cereal will come with the milk already in it.
