A Girl and her Wagon

As I am writing this, poor little Eve is off napping because she is pretty sick right now. She got some GI infection and it is giving her diaper issues, if you know what I mean. Please pray she gets better soon because she does not have the weight to lose. She was only 16lbs 4 oz today at the dr and she is already 11 months old, so she is quite the lightweight. She is on some medication, and the brat diet, but she is not eating very much. Hopefully the sleeping will help and she will slowly get better.

So I am going to post some happier times earlier in the week. Tyler refurbished his old wagon for Eve and we gave it to her for Christmas. Until this week, she has not really been big enough to sit and hold on and let me feel like she was safe enough for it. Now that she it, we take her for rides and she loves it. She throws a fit everytime we take her out. I even read the newspaper the other day and just let her sit in it because she was just enjoying it. Her are some of her in the wagon and some with her little friend Sabryn who was been spending time with us while her regualr babysitter is sick.

My First Mother's Day

It was so strange to get up on Mother's Day and feel included in a very special group. Last year although I was 8 months pregnant, Tyler made it very clear that I was on the verge of joining this group, but not yet there. This year I greeted the day at 9am which is very late for me these days and a very pleasant surprise. I think the big surprise of that was his ability to hold her off not nursing for that long. Then she went down for her morning nap and Tyler had laid out my usual cereal and spoon for me. A small but appreciated gesture. And Tyler and Eve got me a very nice card and the promise of a new bathing suit, which I am grateful I am allowed to pick out for myself. Then after church we went to lunch with Tyler's parents and grandparents. And we spent most of the day relaxing and cleaning around the house. And I got to spend some time talking to my wonderful mother. It was a nice first day and now I have my expectations up for next year. Maybe the cereal will come with the milk already in it.

To Natalie

Here is something fun I am doing to celebrate Natalie. As her family can attest, Natalie is the queen of taking fun pictures of herself. So I was taking pictures of Eve and fooling around and took some pics of myself that actually turned out. So here's my silly pics. And thanks to everyone that thinks that me and Nat look a lot alike. It had happened since she was born and I am proud of that fact.Trying to wink, I know its sad

And don't forget some close-up of Eve

Look at her!

Way before I had Eve, I had my first baby, my baby sister Natalie (just sisters, people use to always ask if she was mine but No I did not birth her at 11). Anyway, on Friday, Natalie went to a formal at her school and looked amazing. It makes me so sad that I could not be there to see it in person, but she said it was such a great night and her and her date Andrew had a great time and make a very cute couple.
Here is our soon to be sister-in-law Tiffany, Natalie, and Tiff's sister and dear friend to Natalie, Brittney. What beautiful ladies.

Eve's favorite person

I guess what they say is true, a girl's first love is her father. Eve loves Tyler so much. After her afternoon nap, she starts anticipating his arrival home. She loves to climb up (with some help) onto the couch, so she can see our wedding picture on the mantle and smile and coo at Daddy. I try to ask her if she notices I am in the picture, but all her responses sound like gagas and then long stretches about Daddy. I know she loves me because she has yet to give him kisses like me, but she is becoming such a daddy's girl. Here is a video with her mentioning her favorite guy. And yes she can say mama, just didn't feel like it in the video. And sorry you will have to look sideways as I can't figure out how to turn it.

Eve's New Toy

Eve is lucky to have lots of people that care about her. Our friends, the Foos, who have three adoreable girls gave Eve one of their favorite toys now that they have outgrown it. It is a princess walk and ride toy. Eve loves being pushed around on it, especially when her Dad pretends she's driving a racecar, although she is so small her feet don't touch the floor on both sides. She is slowly starting to walk behind it, but when she pulls up, she is heavy and it tips. So with some help, she can get going, but then realizes she will get whereever she wants quicker crawling, so does that instead. Here are some pics of her and her new favorite thing. And BTW, pleaes pray that we have save travel when we take the youth group kids from church to Denver for a conference this weekend and yes Eve is going too.
